Finca Vandaluz // Antigua, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala
Washed caturra, catuai and bourbon // 1550+ masl
Grown high on the slopes of Volcán de Agua in Antigua, Guatemala, this single-origin coffee comes from our long-time partners at Los Volcanes Coffee. We’ve worked alongside the LVC team for five years, building a direct relationship focused on transparency, quality, and long-term sustainability.
This particular lot was cultivated on Finca Vandaluz, LVC’s inaugural farm and the first property fully owned by the Los Volcanes team. Located at high elevation on the slopes of Volcán de Agua, the farm marks an important step in their long-term commitment to quality and stewardship. The now-extinct volcano dominates the Antigua skyline and provides nutrient-rich volcanic soil and ideal growing conditions for specialty coffee production.
Since taking ownership, LVC has implemented its own organic compost and fertilization program to strengthen soil health and tree nutrition. Even in the early stages of this transition, the impact on cup quality is evident, which is a reflection of how deeply plant health shapes flavor expression. All cherries are processed at LVC’s wet mill below the volcano before making their way to our roastery.
In the cup, this is a classic Guatemalan Antigua coffee profile: structured, balanced, and subtly elegant. Expect comforting notes of pluot and lavender, layered over a gentle sweetness with a clean, lingering finish.
If you’re looking for a high-elevation Guatemala single-origin coffee with volcanic character, refined balance, and a story rooted in long-term partnership, Volcán de Agua delivers.
