Parainema coffee variety in Colombia? That’s almost unheard of ... till now. The homie Victor Bermúdez is pushing the boundaries, and we're stoked to support him as he explores what Colombian coffee can become.
Originally developed in Honduras to resist leaf rust and help producers weather tough conditions, the parainema variety is built on genetic resilience designed to help farmers stay in business as climate change and disease pressures increase.
But Victor is reimagining what this variety can be. Grown from seeds shared by his Honduran farmer friend Carlos Amaya, this is Victor’s first harvest from trees that are only two and a half years old.
We air-freighted the lot and packed it into tiny 100g drops: fully washed and bursting with bergamot, Trix (they ain't just for kids), and unreal juicy intensity.
Proof that the next wave of Colombian coffee is already here. Taste it while you can.
