Taylor & Katrin met in 2021 while training as ski patrollers in Winter Park, Colorado. Balancing full-time careers, Outdoor Emergency Care classes, and holding their own in the ski world, the two became fast friends.
The years that followed consisted of trading dating horror stories on ski lifts, chasing bucket-list peaks, endless trail runs, mountain bike rides, and being each other's "yes" girl for every big adventure.
Then life pulled them in different directions. Taylor moved home to Madison, Wisconsin. Katrin stayed in Colorado but headed west to the Gunnison Valley.
Their friendship shifted to regular FaceTimes, voice notes, trips, and visits. Yet they knew distance had a way of creeping in.
So they made a pact...
To ski together every month for twelve months. From January powder to whatever patch of September snow they could find.
Coming Fall 2027:
TWELVE, a ski film presented by Kari Traa, follows two friends' journey of chasing snow—navigating distance, busy lives, and winter storms (or the lack thereof) to keep their friendship and shared love of skiing alive.
This collaboration coffee supports the mission of TWELVE:
To welcome more women into the ski industry by showcasing how powerful it is to say yes—to the trip, to the challenge, to the adventure. And that epic lines become more attainable when you have a friend who's willing to show up and hit them with you.
