Another LaREB offering from our dude Herbert, this particular lot was cultivated by Edwin Bohórquez, a smallholder farmer in northern Tolima. Edwin lives in the small town of El Recreo high up in the mountains of the Casabianca municipality. Grown at altitudes over 1620 meters, Edwin’s coffees display great density, which leads to rich sweetness and complex brightness in the cup. Edwin processed this particular lot with a double fermentation process that included an in-husk fermentation for 24 hours followed by dry-mass fermentation in holding tanks. After washing the coffee, he then shade-dried the coffee until it reached his desired moisture content. The result is a crisp, clean and hella sweet cup of coffee that has notes of pineapple and sugar-cane juice.
